Abigail M. Wright, RPh PharmD MS

Abigail Wright is the founder and owner of Wright Geriatric Consulting, bringing five years of experience as a long-term care consultant in the pharmacy field. With a passion for improving the lives of geriatric patients, she integrates her expertise in pharmacy consulting with a deep understanding of age-friendly care.

Abigail holds a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and an MS in Bioscience and Health Policy from Rice University. She graduated cum laude from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). She is licensed to practice pharmacy in Texas and New Mexico and is a registered pharmacist preceptor in Texas. This unique blend of clinical knowledge and policy understanding enables her to provide comprehensive, personalized solutions for patients across the care continuum.

In addition to her clinical work, Abigail is actively involved with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) and is passionate Age Friendly Champion in ASCP's Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms initiative. This initiative focuses on enhancing care for older adults through the 4Ms: what matters, medications, mentation, and mobility. Abigail advocates for practices that improve care outcomes for older patients, supporting the broader goal of transforming health systems to be more age-friendly. She is also a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association and the Texas Geriatrics Society. She also routinely lectures in the geriatrics elective at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.

Before founding Wright Geriatric Consulting, Abigail worked as a long-term care consultant, where she developed valuable insights into the challenges and needs of elderly patients. This experience has shaped her approach to providing compassionate and effective pharmacy consulting services that support both patients and care teams.

Abigail is dedicated to delivering high-quality pharmacy recommendations and ensuring compliance with regulations. Through Wright Geriatric Consulting, she strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that truly enhances the well-being of both patients and the care teams who support them.
